I got Texas mail

yesterday. Mail from ashenbutterfly and her short people.  So nice of her to have sent the relocation announcements out far and wide.

On another front

All of you who are or know someone who is lives north of the Gulf of Mexico along or near Route 10 I am thinking the hard thoughts that Katrina takes a u-turn and heads back out to sea.

I went through Hugo. That was nothing compared to what will happen tomorrow. The PTSD kicks back in right quick when I start seeing pretty swirly pictures and hear manditory evacuations (and if you won't leave, give us the name of your next of kin) reports.

Sad thing is that it is 10 times worse the first week after when nothing is working or open. The roads are blocked, it is hotter than hell, supplies quickly become in short supply, the price gorgers are out, the looters are out, the National Guard is out, curfews are in, no one can get in or get out, your roof is gone and the list goes on and on.
