(no subject)

 I know it has been awhile since I last did an entry.  And you know, once I get started I spam my flist.  You have been warned.

Quite a few people on my flist are going through some rough times.  Even though I have only met a few LJers in real life, I have grown to care about each and everyone on my flist.  My heart is hurting because my flist's hearts are breaking or being stressed to the max.  I worry.

I cooked

again without adding any body parts to the meal.  I even handled sharp objects.  I was disappointed with both meals.

Yesterday was a brisket.  I love brisket, I just can't seem to be able to cook it well.  

Tonight was pork chops on a bed of new red potatoes and apples.   I used granny smith apples since I wanted an apple with some firmness and bite.  They were not good at all.  The pork chops came out a bit dry.

Either way it is my last cooking attempt until I don't know when.

It has been shift bid week at the Big A.  While my tuesday - Saturday has been an ok schedule, I would like more of the weekend.  My current shift was not even an option so who knows what shift I am going to get stuck with.  Mark got Transiberian Orchastra tickets for the first weekend in December, possibility that I will have to  either drive there and drive back (portland, 4 hours each way) within the same night or take off using personal time.  The concert is during the Big A's blackout dates, that wonderful Christmas season.

Find out tomorrow what my new shift is.  I was just getting used to working 9 to 6, now I will probably end up on 5:45 am to something again.
