Clang clang clang of the slot machines

Here I am in a casino in Elko, Nevada. Did really well yesterday, had over 100.00 of the casino's money. Then lady luck gave me the brush off and now I have given the casino lots of my money. Need to not gamble anymore today.

Pet Peeve: Smoking in casinos. I swear half of them never take a drag but just hold the cigarette just so - the better to go into your eyes and up your nose (and this is not good nose candy here, this is stinky non-name brand ciggies). Cigarettes here go for over $40.00 a carton. How can they still afford to smoke and give the casino all their money?

I also never noticed how flithy money is. Your hands are black after playing with the quarters. Icky, icky, icky.

A least Starbucks has two public access computers. They claim to be a smoke free environment but the smoke from the casino not 2 feet away does manage to drift in.

We have a red hat tea in about an hour. Hopefully that will be non smoking.

It might be a drinking in the hotel room night. There is a Albertson's right across the street and like California, they sell the booze in the store.

That's crazy expensive for a carton of cigs. Here in Idaho you can get one for like 24 bucks. Is that in Washington or Nevada? I knew it was more expensive in Washington and that a lot of people come over to Idaho just to buy their cigarettes.
