Please don't mention this on Facebook, there are a few relatives that need to know by phone call and not by public post (and some via messaging).

I have breast cancer.  I don't know the stage yet, I will need chemo and have had a partial radical masectomy of my right breast.  I will be back in a couple of weeks to get the left one off.  My doctor wouldn't do it, he wants to make sure I still want that when I have processed everything.  Which I have not at this point.  I don't think I will until the binding comes off and I see the scar for the first time.  I was like that with my first amputation, once I saw the missing toe space, I just freaked out.

I go home tomorrow, they don't keep you around long :).  I don't have incision pain but I have pain at the top of my binding.  It is strange but they are willing to give me pain pills but I don't really need them, the first pain pill with a morphine kicker cut the edge off.

Of course, being in a Catholic hospital, I couldn't dodge the priest.  But I explained my schism, he understood it and admitted the RC church is in crisis right now and not just their involvement in political issues.  Which is good, it was nice not to be lectured on not attending Mass.

When it rains......I had my mammo (because I found a lump) this morning, lots of calcium deposits (surprising since I hate milk) but the mass to quote the radiologists...has to come out. Consulting with bobby doctor tomorrow morning and the surgery will probably be scheduled sometime this week. I have to fit it in around untrasounds for my poor circulation and PT. Plus work wants a better update on if I will ever be better wait until they get the list of doctor reports now. At bare minimum, I need to be fitted for the prosthetics for both my feet (and learning how to walk in them), my arm healing after the surgery to remove the rod and whatever the ultrasounds show and if my mass is the big C (that is a possibility based on the radiologist). Just keeping my little marker stuck to me so boob doc can find lump - not that hard to do if I can find it.

My life, never boring.

Next update: Met with surgeon. Surgery scheduled for Friday afternoon. Ironically at the local Catholic hospital considering my schism with them. He will first do a frozen section to see if he can determine if it is cancer, if he can't then the tissue he is removing will be sent to biopsy. I have made the decision, if it is cancer, a radical mastectomy. I told him both but it seems they only do one at a time, but the doctor thinks that is the right decision. We haven't gotten to the rest of the drama if it is cancer and what I have to do next. One day at a time right now.  At least if not cancer, I go home.  If need a biopsy, I think I still get to go home and if the results are bad, go back in next week.

Upside, I can get new perky boobies in the size I want.  Doesn't every 58 year old woman want perky boobs?

It’s been decided. On October 20th, 2010, we will wear purple in honor of the 6 gay boys who committed suicide in recent weeks/months due to homophobic abuse in their homes at at their schools. Purple represents Spirit on the LGBTQ flag and that’s exactly what we’d like all of you to have with you: spirit. Please know that times will get better and that you will meet people who will love you and respect you for who you are, no matter your sexuality. Please wear purple on October 20th. Tell your friends, family, co-workers, neighbors and schools.

that I can not pick out furniture without full size mock ups.  We got new bedroom furniture last weekend.   Love love love it - it is this:

http://www.furniturecrate.com/tradewins-mission.html

We got the king bed, the 12 drawer dresser, the 6 drawer chest, the door chest and 3 drawer  night stand (for the dvr, dvd player).  Oh and the mirror.  The drawers are cedar lined.

Much bigger than it looked in the store.  It fits but it is a tight squeeze between the 12 drawer chest and my side of the bed.

I also have too many socks.  3 drawers full.

We have grown up furniture.

To be much cooler weather of the Seattle area.  It is even raining this morning.

We came over to go to the Mariners game with tickets Mark got from work. and to have Mark look at  [profile] parker_wolf 's truck.  There was the possibility she needed to get her brakes replaced.  Mark looked at it, brakes are ok.  Yeah for not getting ripped off.  He figured out she does need a shock replaced and the bushings replaced.  We will come back over and take her truck to the base so Mark can use the lift.

The game was fun.  Did any of you Seattle people see us when a foul ball bounced off an empty seat 2 rows in front of us?  It was not a bad area to be sitting if you wanted a foul ball.  There were quite a few people who needed to learn baseball game manners.  You don't stand up when the inning is still going on,  causing us to miss plays.  Dude, it is only cotton candy.  You annoy the people in your row getting in or out in the middle of an inning or at the minimum, when they are having those heart to heart talks on the pitcher mound.

We will leave later this morning with a stop at North Bend.  Can't come over without a stop at Vanity Fair, new undies, jeans, and whatever else i can find.  I love Vanity Fair outlets.

So glad I had Harpers Island dvred.  I dozed off int he first hour and woke back up to see who really was responsibile.  Holy shit, I need to sit down and watch this.  Wasn't on my list of suspects.

I never call, I never write....

Happy that R-71 looks like it was approved in Washington.  Sad that idiots thought they needed to bring it to a vote.  Come on people.

Having said that: http://www.boxturtlebulletin.com/2009/11/07/16449

Time to go back to my boycott.

We've been in Sturgis for the past 2 weeks.  It has not been the usual fun 2 weeks, it rained several days/nights, it was colder, the entertainment was not that exciting.

Read only if you are really really interested )

Then came Thursday afternoon.   All hell broke loose.  You can see some of the info here:  www.kotatv.com/Global/category.asp  This is the area where we stay (and I absolutely dislike the first woman interviewed, she is an attention whore in the worst way, it was not surprising she managed to get herself in the report).

We are not sure if the damage to our bunkhouse is covered under our policies.  Will find that outt when we get home.

President Carter, I want to thank you for saying what many of us have been thinking (and I have been saying).  You rock.

The end is near, I actually agree with some things W said about Sarah Palin.....

Governor of Guam?  Not remotely qualified.  Redefined the Republican party?  You did that.

Is that book available on Kindle yet?

I can't remember if I posted this or not.  If I did, sorry.

Warning: Someone is going to be offended.  Put on the big girl panties and deal with it.

Good-bye Patrick Swayze.

Rained in.  It is supposed to rain all day so have pushed everything back a day.  Looks like another Dominos dinner.  Last night was Wally World.

Sucks to be me.

Be warned, I am sure there are pictures that will offend someone, deal.

It is still a raw album, I still need to go in and clean up the pictures and tag them.

People, people, people.  We are not hiding our stash of Michael Jackson stuff.  We really are sold out of all our DVDs and that specific CD. The supplier told us he doesn't have anymore.  Yes, I know you ordered 1/2 hour before the death was official.  So did a butt ton of other people.  You are not the only special snowflake who had the same idea.  Yes, I know it says that people who bought this also bought that, I know it still says that because they did buy x and y.  You can still buy y but from a private seller who knows how to mark up a cd.

In a month there will be more than enough MJ junk to go around.  Honest. Just chill and quit calling us.  I am having to pretend that his dying upset me so I can soothe all you drama queens.  Honest, I don't care you are having a private memorial for him at your house and you needed the cd.  If you liked him that much, why didn't you already own the cd?

Yes, I know people are trying to make money off of his death.  It is also known as capitalism and supply and demand. Don't want to pay that much, don't pay that much.

Sturgis can not come soon enough, 21 days until we hit the road.   Yikes.

Welcome

I have put Carradine, McMann and Farrah in one string of 3.  MJ (who I don't want to hear another damn word about) and Billy in the 2nd string.  Wonder if it will be Walter Cronkite or Patrick Swayze next.

I must have had one hell of a dream last night.  I found my glasses completely destroyed.  Lens on place, the frame in the middle of the room.  Hopefully, Lens Crafters can repair them so I don't have to buy a new pair.  I had an old pair of back up glasses in the car.  At least I can see somewhat.  I might try Wally World first to see if they can fix them.
