Holy crap. I would have been out of there too. Call centers are not known for their highly educated and motivated staff, but they are known for their high turnover...with good reason.
I don't care if I get someone in India, as long as they know their stuff. At my job we have a lot of people in India and many of them are much better than those in the States. The accent can take some getting used to but once you are familiar with it it's fine. I had many profs who were the same - had thick accents, but once you were past that, they were excellent profs.
