For my real shoppers

Be sure to check out BestBuys unadvertised items. The laptop is the same one we got 3 years ago for 500.00.

I am seriously considering the Magellen GPS. Costoc has the same thing for 299.00 and there might be less of a crush there than being at Best Buy at 3 am or earlier. At Costco I would at least get money back at the end of the year (we have the 100.00 membership). It seems rather small so I might not get it at all.

Ugh... I got off work at 3am last night (from Best Buy)...

::shakes fist at Black Friday::

And I get to go into work at 4am on Friday morning x.X

I worked at Amazon.com until 1:45, took voluntary time off - a whole 15 minutes. I don't have to be back at work until Saturday.

We are off today to look in a store to see if the Maggie GPS is big enough for use to see it. I'll be looking at a Garmin just for size comparison.

How many GPS does your store have? I need to decide if it is worth standing outside at 3 am or earlier to get one, with the laptop being so inexpensive, the line is going to be long.

Happy Thanksgiving.

We have a good selection of GPS in our store. I've been debating over getting one sometime... but just haven't had the time or money to invest in one yet.

You work at amazon.com? never realized that, sounds like it would be fun. Do you work at some warehouse or something (do they even have a real store?) how does a job like that work, what do you do for them? I'm a curious person ^^;

But yeah, we've got a handful of GPS.

I work in the newest call center, in Kennewick, WA. There are two other call centers in the US (West Virginia and North or South Dakota). There are call centers in various parts of the world, England, Asia, India, Germany, France. India seems to only handle email and the occasional transfer about cell phones. I hate cell phones. Amazon likes that US customers get US call centers and not out sourced call centers.

There are warehouses all over the world. Quite a few in the US, they are huge places, about 8 football fields.

Seattle is where the mothership is. Seattle people even have a company store where they can buy things that have been returned to Amazon.

It is a great company to work for. This weekend is pajama weekend. We can all come to work in our jammies Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I love not having a dress code, can wear just about anything. Too bad they won't let me bring in my blankie and pillow. Well, they will let me bring them, the question will be can I use them on company time.

When I got hired I got 1000 in stock options. If I stay 2 years and some months I am vested.

Mark decided that he liked the GPS at Ace Hardware better than the Mag Best Buy has on sale tomorrow. I can order it on line and don't have to get up in the middle of the night
