I have an owie but I have a new Iggle's jersey

A couple of weeks ago I cut the bottom of my foot, I thought on a chip of ice, (the ice makes in the fridge periodically "throws up" some ice, Night cat loves it). Now, I don't heal quickly because of the diabetes. But, this has gone on too long. The cut/scrap is covered but the area surrounding it is very very tender and feels hard. It is not infected (at least I don't have any symptoms). It is preventing me from walking, hurts to walk on it, and I don't want to go to the doctor (primarily since he will weigh me and I don't need the lecture right now). Sigh, big sigh.

My Eagle wear shipment came, the flag is flying outside. I keep forgetting to order my blow up Eagle player (that sounded vaguely pornographic hmmmmm, ears perk up in interest).

Well, I hope your foot is able to heal itself quickly-er from this point on, as foot problems are always stinky. Not only that, but diabetic foot problems can be so dangerous.

You and your 'Iggles.' *laughs*

I thought it was healing. It seemed to be getting callused over but it still hurts, a lot. There is the mad scientist in me that wants to numb myself up with lots of vodka and perform surgery to see what is causing the hurt. This is the same person who wants to perform my own hysterectomies during the bad menopause periods. Good thing the local drug store doesn't sell scapels.

sounds like you need a doctor who doesn't lecture-- no good having a doctor at all if you don't want to go to him.
i had a cut on my toenail and it hurt for WEEKS... i hink they take longer to heal since you are constantly using them.

The lecture is really for my own good. I knew once they quit making me keep a food journal (for the diabetes) that I would fall off watching the carb intake wagon and I have gained all that I lost back.

On the other hand, I did perform minor surgery this am and found some ick in there. That might have been what was causing the pain (duh?). I have put some anti-germ stuff on it and will wait and see but seems to be hurting less than it was.

true-- it's gonna be for your own good. however they should try to MOTIVATE you rather than make you feel guilty. i hope your procedure worked!
