I really really really want a Kindle.  Really.  Right now, Oprah has a $50.00 promo code.  It is still alot of money.   Mark didn't even blink when I said I wanted one, he just said buy it.  I thought it would be great to take to Sturgis - only 1 thing instead of stashing books so I have something to read.  Would cut down on my pile of books that I want to read, downloads are 10.00 per.  But, paperbacks are less than that.

I need to go back to tech and see if they will let me play with one (or at least hold it).

I guess an advantage of working in Amazon is being able to try it.

I kinda want one as well but am torn — the thing itself is expensive as hell and like you said, downloads are $10 each — and I just spent $8 on 2 paperback books from Amazon.

But it would save on space, especially if traveling or moving.

I've been coveting them since they were released. I just wish Amazon was a bit more reasonable about the price.
