Pre-op

I saw the doctor Friday morning. All things are a go for the 15th. I have to take all my pills and go pre-register at the hospital next week.

If they do the surgery vaginally (bladder sling and total hysterectomy), I should only be in the hospital for one or two days (I have put in my request for 2 days), if they need to cut into me, of course the time in would be longer.  I am willing to stay a week, you can order food 24/7.  Better than room service cause it would be covered by the crappy HMO that I have.  Private rooms and cable too.  What's is not to love?   The downside of an incision (ok, pain is the first downside) is that it might cramp my camping out style for the after Tday sales.  If that is the case, I hope there is nothing I want that badly at any of the stores.

I am cooking a turkey tomorrow to make room for some more when they go on sale.  Mark is working Tday so I would not bother to cook that day and might not even feel up to doing so.  At least he would get some turkey this month.

The recovery time for the incision would be longer, I assume. I will send good healing thoughts to you over the next few weeks.
And yummmy... turkey. I love Turkey. I'm going to make one in December for the family, and I actually haven't done it before. Thankfully [livejournal.com profile] flyingwolf will be here to help in case I make a total wreck of it all...

They are easier than you think. Just don't let it dry out, that is just nasty.
