That does explain the brawl between Dr. McDreamy and Preston on the set a week or so ago.  My trash reading authority was correct.  That is good to know.

I used to be so good at figuring such things out.

I hope that is not a by-product of being older. According to Wanda Sykes (and watch that comedy special on HBO if you get a chance), the older I get, the more I can do the "I don't give a f*ck" line. So maybe this is the time to give up my gaydar and just go straight to the I don't give a f*ck stage of live. Paper or Plastic? I don't give a...

And why would the others fighting have been related?

I think George is just shy & socially inept. He doesn't say what Callie needed to here - like how long it took him to tell Merideth how he felt about her. And of course he noticed that she had broken up with him - he was trying to get her back. But he just keeps making it worse. (of course if he ever finds at about Mark, which of course he will... he'll stop trying.)

I don't think the character George is gay, just the man who plays George.

On the set, Burke was complaining about people being late on the set, etc. McDreamy told him to chill. There was heated discussion and Burke let fly: "I am not your little faggot like - name deleted" We now know who he was referring to. The "discussion" esculated into a brawl with Bruke grabbing McDreamy by the throat and shoved him a few feet.

All this from the favorite tabloid of all, the National Enquirer.

George's character on Grey's is a bumbling man who has not dated much and doesn't know quite what to do or how to do it.

Ah. Context from the NE. Guess the personalities aren't too different from the show. Berk is more high strung while Derik is more layed back. Sounds like a pretty bad fight though. I bet if I'd been watching less Jeopardy and more access hollywood I'd have been more in the loop. ;)
