chelelevI have survived day 1. My mind is spinning and there is nothing worse than suddenly feeling like you don't know how to navigate the internets. Luckily, I have a geek next to me.
I was a bit concerned when I get an email announcing the availabilty of voluntary time off. If there is not enough work, why did they just hire 150 people? The time off is because there are so many in the pipe line, holiday shopping has not hit (I get all 3 holidays off, not sure if I can volunteer to work any or not), there is an opportunity for specializing in a couple of companies and that will create more openings for even more new hires. I keep hearing how fast they promote within.
They are a frugel company so I am not looking for a Christmas bonus. Probably not even a holiday party.
We have heard some war stories. There are some psychos out there and they like to call and email my employer.
