I am giddy at the thought
Aug. 7th, 2007 04:26 amI looked at the balances on the 4 credit cards, I added up three of them. I looked at how much the check was from the trust fund. I looked at the interest on a 9 month CD.
DUH. Pay off 3 credit cards, forget the CD, take some left oven money and through it on Discover - which is the only card I am keeping - and I could be completely free of credit card debt in 8 months. Without getting an increase on my personal line of credit. I might still get an increase but it would only before a little bit, not as much as I was going to do.
I know I am doing the credit card pay offs the wrong way, zeroing them out and not taking my time doing it. I want out from under. I am hold, I need some money put away for later in life.
And if Discover does not lower their interest rates, I will get a new card and shut down Discover.
In 3 years, we would be debt free. This time next year? Only have the line of credit, 2 car payments and the bike payment.
