The House of our Lives and Score!
May. 17th, 2008 12:08 amInspection was today. We also had an evaluation by a roofing company and an electrician there to address my main concerns. House did me proud. There is some moss on the roof that will/is cause shingles to tear away but the roof is good for the next few years. The circuit box has mild arcing but seems to be ok right now. We will get an estimate on replacing the panel from the electrician. See if we can get the sellers to go halves with us instead of us sticking them for the entire amount. Not a biggie if they don't. Just need the appraisal and we can this house sold. So Mark can start spackling and painting while the furniture is not in there yet.
After the inspection (which was 5 hours), I drove to Pendelton (home of Pendelton Wool) in the hopes of scoring Obama town hall meeting tickets. It was frigging hot and I stood in line for over 2 hours, a good hour of it in the unrelenting sun. I had a chair in the car but didn't want to bring it over, was more concerned with getting in line to make sure I got tickets. Eventually, I was sitting in chairs that people had out on the sidewalk. Finally, I got to a set of stairs that were the back door of the headquarters. My group went on ahead and I thought I would have seen them before they got as close to the door as they were. Broken foot hustled to catch up and I got my tickets. Went back to the car, poured water on my head, sucked down two bottles and drove the 80 miles home. I get to go hear Obama on Sunday. I can't wait to hear the next president of the United States in person. After 8 years of Bush, listening to someone with intellegence is going to be so nice.
I'm too tired to sleep. I can't seem to shut down - doesn't help that I am still pouring water down my throat.
