Do not under any circumstances wander down the hall to mess with the computer when cooking, ever. I have been very lucky so far. The smoke alarm can be so unnerving and it is so hard to get the smell of smoke out of the house.

oopsie.
but yeah.. been there. except for the smoke detector. This stuff tends to just burn and not smoke much. Was quite overdone (but not inedible) yesterday because of one little thing I wanted to get done.
