Where did we go wrong?

Mark's niece is pregnant.  This means I am about to become a great aunt.  As if that wasn't bad enough (I am so not old enough to be a great aunt), the father of the child, not only is he a Dallas Cowboys fan but a Star Wars fanatic.

I have rolled with Ash's punches (I think I have talked about this before).  Supported her through her drug rehab, her subsequent backslides, her jail time, her lesbianism, he additonal jail time due to drug use.  I was not prepared for her to fall in love with a Dallas Cowboys fan (there is no lower form of life in the Philadelphia area).  I was equally not prepared for the father of the baby being allowed to name him if he was a boy.  

Anakin Jace.  Get teased much child?

Good news is baby boy does not have his first light sabre yet and I did find one of those on line.

What is it with males of a certain age wanting to name their offspring Anakin? This seems to be something of a trend, and it annoys me.

Beats the hell out of me. Arrested development? I just dumped my VHS tapes of the first 3 movies. If I had only known a member of the family was going to enjoy such dreck....

My husband may be obsessed with star wars, but he would never do that to a child of ours when we get pregnant. That's just mean.
