The 2004 tax paperwork is winging its way to Harrisburg, PA with delivery tomorrow.  I don't think it will be as bad as I thought, Mark was not having enough taken out of his retirement check (that has been changed) and it appears when they split up one of my mother's IRAs, taxes were deducted.  At least I did have some Longaberger sales to someone other than myself.  2005 and 2006 aren't looking so good.  Suppose I should warn the accountant

I have decided to give Longaber one last shot.  My old branch advisor hasn't been much of  a leader since early 2004.  By the time she quit, she wasn't even going through the motions.  I am still not going to be accosting everyone I see to have a party (uh, if any of you want something, feel free to let me know  'k). but I will at least order some brochures and the spring wish list.  I am willing to let the try and wow me once again.  If I don't sell enough by September/October to qualify for renewal, I don't need to be doing it anymore.

I'm tired, should be getting to bed - have already medicated so if this does not make sense, that is why.

I have been kinda enh about Longaberger in the last few years. They just aren't coming out with anything that represents what I want. I got in the new wishlist and haven't even looked at it yet. I haven't looked at the April one, for that matter.

Are you a consultant too?

There are many several things that I think would *wow* me if I saw them in person. For me, I need the stimulation of team meetings to help me keep my focus and am hoping to get connected soon.

Like [livejournal.com profile] chelelev, I have a September/October window too.

I'm glad to hear you're thinking of giving it one more shot. I finally renewed my SWM site, but still need to order flyers/wishlists.

I guess the thing that has bummed me the most is since moving, I have not been able to get a single order from customers I left on the East Coast. Part of it is my fault, but there are a handful of regular customers who I used to email with on a regular basis who quit responding to emails once we moved. It was rather disheartening. So basically, the regular people who always ordered Horizon of Hope, and specific items from the Christmas line just dried up! I probably should have made phone calls and talked to them directly - that's on me.

I am planning to order one of the March Mother's Day baskets simply because I think they're cute. Also thinking of getting some Wrought Iron while it's on sale. I've had my eye on the plate rack for awhile and like that it can be used both horizontally and vertically.

Good luck :-)

thanks, my nsl leader is sending me 3 wishlists and flyers. I need to send off the order for 2 more library tables.

I let my stuff dry up, did not make the phone calls etc. Just like starting all over again. It is very hard for me to find people willing to host a party or even place an order.

Yeah, I'm a consultant, too. Some of the stuff seems like it'd be cool to have, but not worth what it costs. I ordered this year's Sweetheart basket and was completely underwhelmed and disappointed in it. I am going to order the collector's club daisy basket, I think, and maybe a few other things for the baby's room and around the house stuff, but I don't know if I'll make it to what I need to have by July. My mom is moving into a new house with lots of garden, so I might order her a basket to use for collecting her vegetables and flowers, or something.

This is the first Christmas I've skipped the Holiday basket and Tree trimming basket since I became a consultant (and I have several previous years' of holiday baskets). It's also the first time I've passed on the sweetheart basket - even in the flyer, it didn't do much for me for some reason.

The latest thing I *am* excited about is the square pottery, which I think is really cute and gives an updated look to the entire line. Since the solid color line began, I've been a much bigger fan of the pottery.

How long have you been a consultant?

I do like the square mugs and have thought about ordering them. I've been a consultant since 2003-ish.

Did you go to the Bee with [livejournal.com profile] navygreen by chance? I know she's been once and it was with a friend..... and since y'all are *best* friends, it seemed logical.

Yeah, that was the trip where we nearly died from laughing.
