Last Thursday I saw the ortho doc who told me I could begin to wean myself off the boot. Great news but of course, there is a catch. My left big toe is terribly infected and it looks like it came from what is going to be a lovely ingrown toe nail (from the boot).
On Tuesday, I noticed there was a blister forming at the end of my toe. On Wednesday, I popped it, clear fluid. Slap a couple of bandaids and I was good to go. By Friday, the toe was looking very angry and red. And hurt. There was not any weaning off the boot, cold turkey for me.
I went to the doc on Monday, got some cephalexin. Go back next Monday since I don't heal quickly. Sturgis is getting closer and closer....
Yesterday was my surgery check up. You have to expect that you will not ever be seen on time, usually there might be a baby being born or he does something like this:
Off to the packing.

I have been still healing from the bladder tuck (he tucked a couple of other places that he really didn't need to). I have been bleeding (spotting but bright red, new blood) and a lovely icky discharge (which stank to high heaven).
I have abnormal scar tissue, that is why I have been bleeding. What should have inside the incision was outside. I am there, legs up in the air and he asked for a couple of things that told me we were getting rid of the adnormal tissue, today, now, no IV of lovely drugs. He had the va-jay-jay so wide open that I thought we could have stashed the entire population of Rhode Island in.
He snipped it out. Honestly, it really didn't hurt. I scored some more antibiotics and 30 vicodins.
