Lifestyle must change

Remember I had a blister on my toe with got infected? I went to the wound center today. They did a circulation test on me to see if I had any issues. Seems I do. I need to go have the bigger, more expensive test done next week. I got the info on how to take care of my toe, who knew I was not supposed to get it wet? I have a line drawn on my foot where the redness is, if it goes beyond that (I have to keep marking my foot when the old line wears off), to call them immediately or go to the ER. So far, not upset.
Now the upset part. The issues with the circulation could mean that: that I have calification in my veins (common in diabetics - Parker, pay attention), which could lead to all the plasty operations that my mother had (angioplasty was one). Calification is what killed Tim Russert, a piece broke off and blocked his heart. When my blood sugar is high, white blood cells are no longer being made. White blood cells are what cause healing. My blood sugar has been high..
The changes? Back to eating right, testing my blood. I can't wear any shoes that press down on my toe (or where my foot slides down), so most of my crocs won't work. Bring out the old ugly birks or Clarks.
Bummer for Sturgis, no swimming in the pond. Unless I figure out a way to keep my toe completely dry.
