A question for discussion

This has come up a few times since the big A pays recruitment bonuses - if you send a friend to work there, they work the entire time they are supposed to (for example until 1/5/09) - and if you have friends who you know are looking for work - you let them know, right?  

Would you go out of your way to make sure they know?  Would you actively campaign for them to be hired if you had any pull with any manager/hiring person? 

And this isn't just at the big A - how would you handle the hiring of friends if you were in the position to hire? 

Call volume is not there so this is what we talk about.  That and the latest Britney news LOL

Yes, I pimp friends to HR, and let friends know I can pimp them.

I pimped my last job to friends on my LJ (the med records copier one) -- and I pimp theatre work I know about out to people I know would be interested .. esp when I am the stage/production mgr and am hiring.

But there have been people I kept the info from -- if I knew I wouldnt want to see them everyday. Seeing people on LJ is COMPLETELY different from seeing them at work everyday! lol
