Rumor has it I am not dropped
Jan. 7th, 2005 10:43 amI made Mark call his HR. They never dropped me but there was a plan shift and possibly that is where the insurance black hole happened. Supposed to have new cards and everything. No new cards. I will try and go back to the drug store today and see if Group Health really has reinstated me. Why do I think that did not happen?
We have a minor dusting of snow. Pack yours up Nicole, I want it all. It was so nice last year, tons of snow and we didn't have to leave. If it had lasted much longer, I would have had to go out and get some more hot buttered rum stuff, went through a lot of it while doing the sidewalks, driveways of ours and the neighbors. It is a bitch being the youngest people in the neighborhood (the lazy next door neighbors didn't make an attempt and there are teenage kids in and out of there all day) and at 50, I don't think we are that young. Well, Mark is, he is the baby of the crowd but mid-40s is no spring chicken.
I have to finish up my responsibilities as treasurer of the local Democrat Central Committee. I didn't do a very good job of it (other than trying to hold the chair's feet to the fire for unauthorized spending, she played Miss Passive-Aggressive and would withhold the bank statements). I will be glad to be out of that mess. I inherited a mess and I didn't help it much, played a lot of head in the sand, will it ever go away??
Besides my New Years Resolutions of not sending spam e-mails to the Amish or throwing rocks at whales, I think I will add the I will get more organizied this year (even I roll my eyes at that one) and not avoid crappy jobs, they just get crappier as time goes on.
