Humter S. Thompson committed suicide.  I could tell the boy has demons just from reading his writing.  Will say, he did it his way.  Uncle Duke in the Doonesbury comics was patterned after him.

Sandra Dee died.  This I've been expecting since she wasn't taking good care of herself and was basically killing herself with alcohol.

John Raitt dies.  He was the father of Bonnie Raitt.
