The countdown begins

I leave the house tomorrow about 5:00 for a 6:20 flight to Salt Lake City, Atlanta and finally Syracuse, NY. I have to drive to Buffalo tomorrow night, stay over and then proceed to Columbus, OH for the Longabeger convention aka BEE. I have directions to a Chick-fil-A on the way since Atlanta's will be closed (Sunday and CFA is never open on Sunday). I get to do the reverse next Saturday but will stay in the Syracuse area for 6 days. There are no CFAs in New York either. But I will be able to have fish at the Loop in Oswego and a coney at Hieds in Liverpool. Yummmmm.

Things are progressing nicely. I have refilled all the meds, got my stash to vodka for the trip, hit the bank for cash, my Bee gifts for roomies and friends are bought, most of the packing is done (I seem to have 2 pairs of pink capris), I have printed out directions, phone numbers, etc. I still have to pay the bills, burn some CDs, make sure I have plenty of memory in the camera, transfer some files to the laptop, pack some freezer paper and zip locks so I can bring back some NY coneys and Hoffman hot dogs, maybe some horseradish mustard. We already have a good stash of Grandma Brown's Baked Beans and I know how to make salt potatos. We have friends, he is from the Syracuse area so I will have to have them over for a central NY meal.

Of to do some of my still to do list.

Note to self: take the neck coolers, you are going to where is not only HOT it is HUMID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can feel the life being sucked right out of me. What little life I will have after spending 3 hours in Atlanta's airport.

Well that won't work

I am taking way too much stuff. I have a roll on bag just like everyone else which is full of wine, vodka, all the stuff that makes me smell pretty, extra undies, change of clothes (can you tell I have had luggage delayed?), etc. I had another bag that rolled and was to hold the laptop and parts. That bag wasn't going to work, I was afraid they would tell me that I can't have two bags that need to be in the overhead bin and then where would I be?

I have shoved everything in the back into the packback. I will hang my purse off the backpack so TSA can't tell me I have too many carry ons. That means I will have the laptop, video camera, etc in my backpack. I am going to be so miserable and will be hating security when they will make me turn everything on, nothing like delaying people while my laptop fires up. For some reason, I can't seem to dislodge the purse and just put everything in the backpack, I did it for years when I was commuting. I hate carrying a purse if I have to walk very far or shop with out both hands free. I hit the store, drop the purse in the cart and shop away.

I hope my mind changes soon.

Still have to pay the bills. I am getting closer, I've opened them all!
