Beware, this could turn into spam for my flist.

I am still shaking my head over what happened last night, talk about roller coast of emotions. My ups and downs of the Orange Bowl - GO PENN STATE!!!!!!  compounded with the exhileration of the news that 12 were alive in West Virginia's mining accident.  I couldn't sleep so I was watching to see the miners come out and go to the local church to meet their loved ones (I thought that one was a bit strange, either bring the family to the mine or the hospital).  The reports kept coming that some were fighitng with triage to get to their families.  The entire town has come out to celebrate.

Then wham.  Ooops, miscommunication there, only one alive.  Yes, we knew that the report was wrong 20 minutes after the first news program announced that there was surviviors, just didn't know what to say to the families, didn't have enough details  How about this detail - your loved one is probably not alive, the report that they were is incorrect, we are working as fast as we can to get everyone out and we'll get back with you.

Granted, this company has only owned the mine for 30 days and they are going to take the full fall for this.  I did and do feel so sorry for the CEO and President of the ICG, that man does not know how to spin a story and protect himself and is probably just sick about the outcome.
