I have survived 3 nights at the county fair. Tuesday I had to listen to Styx. Mark is the one who likes them. To my horror, I found that I had learned the words to all songs after being dragged to concerts for the past 5 years - one summer it was 3 times.
Wed. brought me 3 country groups that I had never heard of. Ok, I knew the ZZ Top song and God Bless Texas sounded familiar.
Last night was Smashmouth. I like Smashmouth so it was a fun night. They even stay after shows and sign posters. I left after we got them into the signing area so I was very close to a Smashmouth or two - actually the entire band.
It is fun to watch the little kids who know everyword to every song. Some walked out with eyes as big as saucers, they really had a good time.
Tonight is Sawyer Brown and tomorrow night is Josh Gracin. I think he was on American Idol and used to be a Marine.
Mark has been very good about sending out resumes (after I forward the links of jobs that I have found) and has gotten 2 calls so far. He flys out Thursday for South Carolina to be tested and interviewed. Vermont called yesterday and did a short phone interview. We should here from them today or Monday on when they want him to come out. He didn't believe me when I told him it would take close to 6 months after he retired from the Navy to find work. He believes me now.
South Carolina housing would be less but I really want Vermont. I want winters, I want to be closer to the family I do communicate with. I love New England area, the salt box houses, basements and attics.
I don't think the SC job is union so they might move us. Vermont is union so we don't know how much money they will give us to relocated. So much shit in this house and that is after I have purged. Need to purge some more. I've tossed tons of paperwork and it seems like I didn't throw anything away.
Have a fun Friday.
