This might work out
Oct. 19th, 2006 09:05 pmLast Friday I had thought I had completely wasted my time filling out yet another Amazon app for the local call center. Figured I wasn't going to pass muster when my app was added to the huge pile of "I will have to review your app later" and I was not scheduled for testing that day, much less an interview.
WorkSource called today. I test Tuesday. The pay is not bad for this area and it would go along way to alleviate some of the financial stressers I have. So would staying out of WalMart but I blew that tonight.
It is call center work, taking orders, including on line orders. Not sure how I would be doing that but I suppose they will tell me how.
Getting this job is about a guarantee that Mark will get the Vermont offer. That is ok, I can send him to work there until spring and then I can move cross country.
Not eliminating the debt management plan. Need to figure out what Mark's pay will be once he is moved to day shift and no longer has OT or differential. It will be less that what he makes now. Depending on what I have to show for debt management, I would't mind if they could set me up before I start working. I need to look into the local one and see what the BBB says.
