Last Friday Mark and I went up to Spokane to the Air Force Base so I could get a new id. Not that I use it much around here, but it is the point. We took Nexie, the extremely vocal GPS. Nexie gave us quite a tour of back roads to the base. Snow packed back roads, through the prison campus (which also houses bad kiddos and those in need of padded rooms). Nexie tried to get me to turn down dead end roads. I was stupid enough to do it once. Nexie did not realize that I would not fall for that trick again, she kept trying. Then we got to the big road. Route 2 is not a untraveled road but the snow was packed down anyways. Hello, snow plows?
For that matter, the base needed to do a better job on its roads and parking lots too.
What was with the cheap gas? We paid 2.54 before leaving to find it 20 cents less around the base. Everywhere in the Spokane area was less money that where we live. We are getting screwed to the wall.
I had to go into the commissary. Was not impressed. There were some things that are less expensive then my store here but not that many. Mark got coffee which was cheaper.
I worked for 3 days, during which time, Jack Frost had decided to live in Eastern Washington. Then we got snow. Only an inch but still snow. It has been cold enough that it is still here. And a few of my customers really need to visit Mr. Happy's drug store and not call me until the meds kick in. Really.
Off to take care of some things. The property management company wants to come Tuesday to do their annual walk through. I am putting the kabash on that. I will be offering her a Friday when Mark is off so that I have enough time to get hid of at least two layers of clutter. And, I can keep her out of the bedroom. At least she can let us know about the picture window that condensation that is getting between the two panes of glass.
