Reflections of 2007
Dec. 30th, 2007 02:18 pmManaged to keep my job at the Big A (not sure if this is an accomplishment or not).
Learned 4 more "divisions" - which means I can now get the crabby in 5 skill sets
Quit biting my nails.
Got a pop-up camper to tow behind the bike.
Took a vacation on the back of the GoldWing. Saw Idaho, Montana, South Dakota (Sturgis!), Wyoming.
Very grateful for being able to stay in an air conditioned Super 8 in South Dakota. The rest of the trip was spent in non-air conditioned location (other than the two nights spent in Missoula coming and going).
Learned that a couple of Oxy's because of my head hurting from one of my helmets allows me to sleep on the back of the bike, allows me to act out my dreams and that is not a good thing on the back of a bike.
Found out Yellowstone is not where the moose hang out and 2 days is not enough time to stare at the animals
The elk by the side of the road is very big compared to us on the back of bike. So are the bison.
Want to figure out a way to go work at Yellowstone. Really would like to work during the winter too. Must convince husband would be good for us....
Deadwood, SC is nothing more than a giant casino. South Dakota still allows smoking indoors.
Big stone carvings in side of hills? Impressive. Want to go back and see at night.
Got an unexpected trust payout
Did the big girl thing and used the money to pay off 3.5 credit cards and closed the accounts of 3 credit cards.
Went from juggling credit cards to paying cash for everything.
Have lost weight.
Met in RL some LJ friends.
Continued to add money to savings (a rather new concept for us, money that actually stayed in savings). Even decided to do the 401K thing through both our jobs.
