Did the last bit yesterday.  Because I am insisting that we safe the packing paper and moving boxes for freecycle or Craigslist, Mark needs to run them to storage.  I can't see out the back of my car.

Stupid us was counting on the kid next door doing the lawn and taking care of the kitties.  Kid is going out of town.  Plan B.  I used to work with a girl around the corner from here.  Trotted over there and intoduced myself to mom,  got a hold of  Kathleen - turns out that is what she does since she is in school full time - pet and house sits.   I don't care what she charges,  the kids need to be checked on.

The least expensive boarding was 25.00 a day,  one place was 40.00 for both of them, per day.  Maybe I need to open up a boarding place.

I do love what I have done to the place, decorating with high-end cardboard .

[personal profile] jamethshould have them all shipped to him so he can offer his neighbors a higher standard of living.

There is so much to do before we leave  tomorrow.  I am glad we delayed this trip by a day.  Mark has not had a chance to change the oil or air filter on the bike.  I have to do a ton of laundry and see how many days of clothing fit into my alloted space.  I ruined a pair of capris painting but they may make the trip anyway.  No one will be playing one bit of attention to me.

I might have mentioned it when I got the boot off from the broken foot.

Recap: I developed a blister at the end of my left big toe.  There was a distintive line that went around my toe.  I made the mistake of  popping it.  It got infected.  I ended up getting a referral to the wound center.  I have this entire process that takes a good 15 minutes to get through each day.  Saline solutions, put this one, put that on.  I have to take a huge collection of gauze and tape.  I  am not supposed to get it wet from a shower, can't go into pools or  rivers to swim (bacteria).  I may find myself cheating a bit in Sturgis.  It is going to be hot, there is a pond, I will be in it.

Reminds me, we need sunscreen.  I am not nearly tanned enough to be able to handle South Dakota  sun.
