Have I told you about the infected toe?
Jul. 26th, 2008 08:38 amI might have mentioned it when I got the boot off from the broken foot.
Recap: I developed a blister at the end of my left big toe. There was a distintive line that went around my toe. I made the mistake of popping it. It got infected. I ended up getting a referral to the wound center. I have this entire process that takes a good 15 minutes to get through each day. Saline solutions, put this one, put that on. I have to take a huge collection of gauze and tape. I am not supposed to get it wet from a shower, can't go into pools or rivers to swim (bacteria). I may find myself cheating a bit in Sturgis. It is going to be hot, there is a pond, I will be in it.
Reminds me, we need sunscreen. I am not nearly tanned enough to be able to handle South Dakota sun.

Date: 2008-07-26 08:36 pm (UTC)To cut down on the amount of bacteria (or at least make it more difficult), I will bag the toe with a sandwhich bag. Really will only slow down the amount of water that gets to it (and I will have on swim shoes). Really depends how hot it is.
