Hmmm, 10 years?

I am not buying the "he kept me captive for 10 years because I was afraid for my family" line. Call me cynical but, come on. 10 years? Why do I think that maybe she ran off with the bad boy and once he got caught, came up with her story? She wasn't locked in a room, she was working on a chicken farm. They have phones there. There were people there she could have confided in. Something like, gee, I know we look like the happy couple but I am being held hostage, do you think you could call someone for me? Maybe my husband? Maybe the police?

I should try and follow this just to see how it washes out.

I actually know 3 of the prison guards that were involved with this and NOBODY Can believe she actually left her husband and children for a convict and a chicken farm. It's CRAZY!!!

But, do they believe that she was held "hostage" for 10 years? I'm sure the con didn't offer her the chicken farm right away, that would be such a treat to be saved for later. Yeah, right.

I do understand the Stockholm Syndrome but not sure if it applies here or not.

as far as I know... the story that is going around is that she was held captive - but nobody that I know involved from that prison (ie: her husband's co-workers) believes a word of it... How could you abandon your children?

I think it smells fishy, too. Ten years! Don't buy it.
