I bought a dyson vacuum cleaner last summer (and yes, the name is lower case). Love it and never realized how groady my carpets really were (didn't help that vacumming was not my favorite chore using the old Sears upright - which I used to live but is now the ugly step-child relegated to the downstairs and main purpose is to suck up kitty litter). A couple of weeks ago, the coupling at the end of the hose (which is used to attach attachments) came off. I thought I had fixed it but apparently not. The coupling came off again and it stuck up where the hose fits into the vacuum housing (to see a dyson and what I am talking about go to www.dyson.com). I called the dyson company today. They are sending me a brand new hose and parts, gratis, nothing needed from me, no need to have the credit card handy, nothing. I get to disassemble my dyson and add the new hose in.

I love this company, that is what customer service should be.

And by the way, it is worth every penny I paid for it. We got ours at Costco for $430.00, it is a combo, comes with the turbo attachment that makes the Animal dyson the Animal (that and color). This thing will suck the paint off the walls. If I could only hold the cats down, I could skip the middle man and just get rid of their extra fur that way.
