LJ has been neglected

chelelevI have kept up with my flist (not always commenting but have at least skimmed the entries) but have not done any postings myself. Be prepared.
Drama. Why is there so much drama whenever you get a group of adults together? Is there not one organization out there (ok, my church crowd drama level seems to be lower keyed than others) of adults who do not revert back to junior high? Mark and I have been a member of a local GoldWing chapter for 8 months. There is a monthly breakfast meeting. The only time anyone sits with us is: 1. we sat at a table with other people or 2. there are absolutely no other seats available. There are major cliques within this group (I know, that is normal, we are the new kids in the club but we have been in this group now for a long time, surely someone must like us?) even though those in the cliques deny there are cliques (but do admit that they would like a closed clique). We had joked that we weren't in the clique, this weekend proved it wasn't a stretch of our imagination. This past weekend was our chapter's get together (3 days). It was made quite clear to me (by the one who wants closed cliques) that she did not want us to set up by her camp. Fine, I set up our little screen house somewhere else and took it down early since we were being ignored. I just go tired of the games. This same person (closed clique bitch) had the balls to ask on Sunday "Aren't you going to come hang with us?" Uh, in a word, NO. Why play games? We aren't moving in with you (wouldn't if you paid me) but the same common courtsey you show others would be nice. The only time someone came over to our spot was when we were taking things down and that was only to ask where we had gotten the screen house.
Our situation is not the only drama, there is drama among the upper levels of the group and much bitching and moaning by all. We are middle age people, grow the fuck up. Mark can continue to go to the meetings, I'm not. I would rather stay home and scrub a toilet. Ok, maybe I do need lessons of the grow the fuck up part.

She is doing much better than I. I am about to wander up and down the local Safeway store to see if I can figure some of these out. I know I have seen some of these but can not for the life of me, remember where. Stupid brain cells. Some of the answers must have left with the grain alcohol brain cells.

B is a little bothersome, because I know I know it, I just can't figure it out.
As for the cliques - I think that is what has depressed me most about "growing up". Shit like that gets better, but it never ends.
