I stayed up to about 1 or 1:30 last night and heard nothing more. However, when Mark went out to go to work this morning he found his rear car window kicked in and a soda bottle full of urine inside his car.

Of course we called the police. I did not hear the alarm go off so now I am wondering if there is something wrong with our alarm. How do we test it? Break another window. The police said we are being targeted, I have no idea who we may have pissed off, we don't have teenagers, haven't cut anyone off in traffic lately. The bottles against the garage door could have just been random but not coming back and kicking in the window.

Off to talk to the neighbors and see if any of them heard a car alarm or not.

I forgot to add that both cars had a 1/2 of a potato stuffed in the exhaust pipe. That was planned, not many people carry around produce in their cars.

WTF!!

OMG, you don't deserve or need this crap!

If it were last weekend I'd think it was a VERY BAD mischief night prank. I hope they catch them!

That is AWFUL! I would be so mad. It'd be nice if the police would set up surveillance for you, but I'm sure that is wishful thinking. :-

I feel lucky he dusted the bottle for prints. He did decline to run a dna on the contents of the bottle. CSI has really ruined it for cops, now people expect them to run dna in 15 minutes, find usable prints, put the bottles back together (and find the "smoking gun") etc. Survellance isn't warrented for such a "minor" crime and I wouldn't even expect it.

People can be such buttholes! If you don't have locking gas caps, I would suggest you go to the parts store ASAP and purchase a set :o/

The gas cover only opens from inside the car. I don't think you can pry it open.

We still can't figure out why Mark's car was targeted and mine left alone. They are the same type of car. Other than the potato, nothing. And mine was even unlocked (not anymore!).

Mark is calling Toyota to get the appointment for them to prove to us that the alarm worked when the window was broken.
