Tis the season and I am bored
Dec. 3rd, 2005 10:28 pmWe had snow on Thursday, I was way too excited but it amounted to not even an inch. It was gone Friday except for those lucky enough to be living in the hills. We had put up the wood figurines Wednesday but haven't put up the spiral trees or lighted reindeer. The little elves aren't spot lighted yet either. Probably will happen next week sometime.
It is bitter cold at night now, in the teens with highs in the day of mid or upper 30s. I haven't felt like going out much. Did go to quilting Friday night, need to go back tomorrow and get the Eye spy quilt done for my estranged sister's son. Worse thing she can do is return it but I hope she will let him have it. The kitties need their new catnip pads.
Thanks to Flyingwolf for the kitty nip. Day got a whiff and started pawing through the pile of mail to try and find what smelled so good. I have it hidden away now.
I have to go out and look for a digital camera for me. Pennys has a "
friends and family" shopping day tomorrow and Mark's work was offered 20% off. I don't think they carry the cameras in this store but I will go look. There are bras for sale so might get myself some of those. How exciting?!
The new diabetes meds aren't that bad. I am not happy about injecting myself twice a day though. Hurts sometimes, I think when I jam it too hard into my leg trying to make sure I get the full dosage.
When did Saturday night TV get to be so bad? Bored and nothing on that thrills me. Must have gotten spoiled with sweeps month. I could go digging and put up the tree but not that bored. I left all my sewing stuff at the quilt shop so can't even pretend that I am interested in doing that. Nothing interests me, there is plenty that I could be doing just don't want to do it. Bills need to be paid, not jumping on that. Cards need to addressed, not doing that either. Could load the dishwasher, don't see that happening. Laundry? Still have underwear so not rushing there.
I had a shirt hanging on the door knob of the needs to be ironed closet. At some point it fell to the floor and is now Day's bed (she has lots of other places she could be sleeping). Night was on it before, now she is leaving another layer of fur on the couch. I could knit myself another kitty...

Date: 2005-12-04 03:29 pm (UTC)We had snow the December after Hugo hit.
Or, you can just move to North Carolina. Would you have to walk away from the house or would your father let you sell it (and wicked sister with it)?

Date: 2005-12-04 07:44 pm (UTC)We couldn't walk away from the house. We bought it from my Dad, so we'll sell it when we're ready. I talked to my Step-Mom yesterday and she said Sister is already talking about moving out *WOO HOO*

Date: 2005-12-04 04:56 pm (UTC)Your welcome. My boy was pawing at the outgoing mail too and I had to assure him that I kept some for him. (not that he needs it!) I figured it was better to mail it in the container in case the smell set off some sniffer dog.
