I am employed, kinda
Feb. 20th, 2006 12:15 pmI interviewed (and was hired) at West today. It is an inbound call center, after a month of training, I will be handling incoming calls regarding a large phone company - billing questions, deleting services and adding services. The pay
I can't believe the rules though. It is a call center and I can't wear jeans except on Friday. I don't think I can get away with my Berks either (what is a girl to do?????).
I start training March 1-28, then nest (doing phones with someone with me), then start work April 3rd. I will have to finalize my vacation time this summer and get my request in (w/o pay of course) for when I go back to Ohio for Longaberger and New York to do research. I might just have to do Longaberger and skip the New York trip for later. We'll see.

Date: 2006-02-21 03:21 pm (UTC)The no jeans rule is terrible, who would have thought that I (who will never see the client) needs to look business casual. I guess it will be lots of khakis and then I will move on to denim dresses once it begins to get warm. Will need to find something for my feet since my berks are out. I assume these rules are a result of a bunch of idiots not knowing how to dress. They even spell out NO FLIPFLOPS. I have some cute ones, with flowers and everything. Thses people better not open a site in Hawaii, they would get no one to work there with these rules.
