My foot is fractured, one of the metatarsal bones, I want to think either the 4th or 5th (big toe being 1).  That is all I know from the trip to x-ray today.  I expect to hear back from the doctor on what is step 2 in the process.  All I know is that it friggin' hurts, the worse being to touch it.  Even the weight of the blankets hurt.

While I want it cast just because I could screw it even more without something hard on it, I don't want to not be able to get around.  Crutches and big girls?  Not a pretty picture.  All of our cars are stick (I am assuming the beater is, I haven't even been in it) so cast and clutch might not go well together.  And, can we make that the new lightweight material so that it is not over 5 pounds so that I can lift my leg out of bed?

This does enforce that our house hunting needs to focus on one story houses.

Ouch, ouch, ouch. I broke my left foot when I was 3 months pregnant with Jack. Philip left for Saudi Arabia the next day, and our car was a stickshift at the time. NOT FUN. Nor was trying to balance in a cast and crutches on 2" of solid ice (it was Alaska in February).
