Are you sick of hearing abou the damn house hunting yet?

Sure, they accepted the offer with the following conditions:

Property shall be accepted "as is" with $500.00 towards any repairs found at inspection

1000.00 escrow

We do not have a remedy to go after seller for things that they knew about and didn't disclose, repair, etc.

Somebody knows something.

Not sure what we will do now.  I am so tired of this.  If I didn't hate this place so much, I would start seriously considering buying it.  It still might come down to that.  At least here, I know the floors are hardwood under the carpets, just would need to have them refinished.

If I remember correctly from when I lived in Washington, they can sell you 'as is', but they can't fail to disclose something. If there's a problem with the house they know about but don't tell you, the 'as is' clause means nothing. By law they have to disclose everything, and if they don't disclose it you can sue them later regardless if there's an 'as is' clause or not.
