You blinked

Suddenly, the home owners are having a change of heart.  The list agent wondered if we would still be interested if they dropped the "as is" clause.  My agent told her that and the 500.00 repair limit.  I added that we would have to have remedy against them for disclosure issues.

Seems the owners want to know the house is going to someone who is going to love it as much as they did.  Hello, I am buying your house not adopting your child.

I doubt they will agree to all my demands.  If they do, the deal is back on the table.  If they don't, deal is still dead.

cool
But some people really are emotional about houses. My friend, who just recently sold her grandparents house, was really hoping the buyers would want to fix the place up & put $ into it towards that. But it's getting torn down - she's ok with it because of the reason. (the buyers have a disabled daughter and need a 1-story house- they actually have a house in the neighborhood, but the plot wasn't as big.

that said, it's weird that they would feel that after only a couple years in the house.

I know. I haven't seen the love in the house. I can see being attached to the house you grew up with or your grandmother lived in but not the place where you only spent 2 years (and might I add over paid).

We are back in the game right now. Now I realize why they consider buying a house high on the stress list.
