OR opened up

After the bed opened up, they moved me upstairs. My pain level is at an 8 when resting and 10 if I swing my leg off the bed. The serious IV antibiotics begin. Of course I don't sleep a bit last night.
Saturday morning brings the physical therapists who insist I take a walker and do a lap. Um, ok but not really needed, I'd been figuring out how to walk on my foot all week, once I got past the first throb when all the blood rushes down. Fine, one lap and I want to go back to bed.
Then occupational therapy stops by with concerns with how I was going to shower and how many step there were in the house. There was the highlight of the pet therapy dog who came in got pets and rushed out on her way to the next room. The afternoon was another MRI to see if there was a pocket of infection near the cellulitus. I actually slept Saturday night.
Sunday? Things went downhill. My foot actually was not hurting as much, I figured I would get to leave either today or tomorrow. Then one of the cultures came back positive for staph. Suddenly, I am in reserve isolation, everyone has to gown up. And there was a pocket of ick about the size of a marble. Surgery is in my future. A nose culture is taken (they made the newest nurse do most of the dealing with me). They let me take a shower, I didn't want to get out.
Still do not know if mrsa or not. Probably is but colonized which most of us have anyways. I am now not allowed to put any weight on my foot for two weeks. That should be fun and considering all our cars are stick shifts, I don't think I will be going to work either. Which is ok in my book. I do have to stop by there to get teh paperwork for my medical leave of absence (and to bring some things home with me).
Worse case is I have to go home with a central line b/c I am mrsa. Pick line or something like that.
At least I have wireless connection
