I have relatives
Apr. 22nd, 2006 11:32 amI've always had relatives but had lost all contact with my father's side of the family. The ungrateful, does not respond, bitch of a sister got custody of the address book and will not share the address of a cousin, I did figure I would never know anyone from that side.
I had posted on Ancestory.com requesting information on the Eames family (my grandmother's family) and got a response. Our grandparents were first cousins, she has tons of family stuff since she lived in the family farmhouse for years and I get to look at it, glean what additional information I can find. I can't wait, she will probably know who these people are in the pictures I have. She does have ungrateful bitch of a sister's email address, maybe she will share the cousin's address with her. I have things that I would like to pass on to family members with children so that they can learn about where they came from.
It is nice to have someone who is close to the area, maybe she can do some of the running around to courthouses, etc. digging out more information. I've done all I can do with census reports, etc. Too bad Mark can't get a job in the area, my ancestor's houses are still standing and it would be nice to have another generation living in one.
