And I am sucked back in
Feb. 9th, 2008 03:17 pmIt was Washington's caucus day. I went. 4 years ago there were 8 people who showed up from my precenct. This year 25, w/ the majority for Obama.
I am now a delegate to the county and legislative district. I probably will get the urge to go to State Convention, if only for the hospitality rooms. It is only 2 1/2 hours away (if that, since I have a heavy foot) I would have to stay one night just because I would not be wanting to do the drive back after hitting the hospitality rooms. See if I get elected to go first.
The end of the Bushies is in sight.
Edited to add:
I never thought I would see the day when a black man and a woman were viable candidates for President. I had goosebumps and tears in my eyes when Obama won Iowa. It is almost beyond comprehension. Finally, when we tell our children, black, white, asian, hispanic, native american, boys, girls that they could grow up to be President, it not a lie. No matter who gets the nomination, history is being made.
This election is so important, we don't need someone that office who thinks we should stay in Iraq for the next hundred years or who is chomping at the bit to smack Iran down.
That last paragraph is directed at the Rs on my list.
