I was out yesterday looking for something to wear to the .com Prom that is next weekend .  I will have to watch what I say so I will not imbibe from the bar too much but I digress.

When I left it was spitting snow.   It kept spitting off and on during the afternoon, sometimes acting like sleet or other times just rain.  I wasn't cognitive of just what the temp was outside so didn't think anything of the weather.  I became suddenly more cognitive when I started driving home.  It was still rain but freezing rain.   There is no really good way to get home,  gotta go over a river(s) one way or another so stuck to the main roads.  Until I got on the interstate, the roads were not bad.  Once on the interstate, which was covered w/ a dry snow, things  got more interesting.   I could feel that I had no traction so started  slowing down.  Tried to tap the brakes and realized I was going to keep moving so started downshifting.  There were some idiots who were passing me but I noticed the truck behind me backed down and was giving himself extra room.  I debated the whole way  back home if I should stop at the grocery  store.  I did but even gettng out of the store's parking lot was dicey (and had to deice the windshield).

Woke up this morning and noticed the rain had changed over to snow.  It is still coming down so that cancels today's plans, of getting together with co-workers searching for something to wear to the prom.  I was looking forward to it, I was pretty sure the gag order did not extend to Pasco.

Off to sniff that chicken I bought last week at Costco, but I have my doubts that I am going to want to eat it.  I think some marinated chicken thighs done on the George Foreman will be todays dinner.   Gotta break in the new one.

Damn

It has stopped snowing..  For now.  We got about 8 or  9 inches.  There is a chance of more snow on Tuesday.

I don't think Mark will have to go to work tomorrow, which means if the Big A is open (which it probably will be and lightly staffed) and I decide to go (phones will be crazy), he can shovel the driveway out again once the snow plow comes through - if it comes through.
