Crazy HorseCrazy Horse

You can see this for miles. Too bad I won't live to see it completed.
Mt. RushmoreMt. Rushmore

Pretty impressive.

They have it pretty well hidden by parking structures, etc. so you don't see it coming for miles.

There is a rule in Yellowstone that you are supposed to stay 25 yards away from the wildlife. Someone has forgotten to tell the wildlife that they need to be 25 yards from us.

I thought they were adorable. I thought they closer resembled the antelopes we saw - didn't get pictures of those since I figured I would see more in Yellowstone. Not an antelope to be found but plenty of prong horns!

I want one as a pet, they seemed so soft. The ones we saw on the roads were skitterish, as soon as they heard the camera noise, they took off running. Yellowstone's, very used to the people.

Most of the animals in Yellowstone don't understand the 25 yards rule (50 yards if a bear). Not uncommon to come around a curve and be face to face with a bison or a bull elk.

I could spend hours watching the wildlife. There is a reason why Mark does not take me to the zoo or the fish house anymore.

I heart Yellowstone. I WILL GO BACK!!!

I have pics of the kids in front of Crazy Horse as wee ones... it will be neat if they ever get it done. It doesn't look like they have been able to get much rock moved in the seven years since I have been there either. Although its still pretty darned neat.

I also have pics of me feeding the aminals at Custer State Park.. with triscuits.. until one of them decided to take a bite out of me.. Good times.

I want to work there. I would love to be able to spend a winter working there (as long as I can get around enough to see the animals).

We didn't get to Custer State Park this trip, will to go back for that too.
