Are you sick of hearing abou the damn house hunting yet?

Sure, they accepted the offer with the following conditions:

Property shall be accepted "as is" with $500.00 towards any repairs found at inspection

1000.00 escrow

We do not have a remedy to go after seller for things that they knew about and didn't disclose, repair, etc.

Somebody knows something.

Not sure what we will do now.  I am so tired of this.  If I didn't hate this place so much, I would start seriously considering buying it.  It still might come down to that.  At least here, I know the floors are hardwood under the carpets, just would need to have them refinished.

I'm not 100% sure what that means. Does that mean if a lot more than $500 worth of needed repairs is found at inspection you can't get out of the deal? If so, yeah.. run. Or does the "as is" refer to no warranty? If it's that, then find a real good inspector and make sure he knows you suspect something.

Or - just read your other comments - keep looking. It's a buyers market. And good luck.
