First of all, Merry Christmas to everyone
My wish is that you all enjoy your day and do not put unrealistic expections on yourself or loved ones. Enjoy the time your have with them.
Work was so slow yesterday. I did not have to answer the Big A or the bullseye calls. They were sending people home so we had to just answer our specialty calls. No one screaming at me but I only answered the phone 10 times. Read every tabloid, People and Cosmo I could get my hands on.
Our holiday gift this year was cheesy. A nylon bag that can be stuffed into its own pouch. Last year lap top bags, cool. It might be because we hired about 350 temps and they drained the coffers dry. Many will be leaving after 1/6/08 (they are getting a party). Any of them who stayed through Q4 get an 1.00 an hour bonus for every hour they worked. We don't even know who is staying or who is going from our little empire.
I do hope we have week long voluntary time off in January. I didn't take it before but I want it now.
I even broke down and got Mark a turkey breast from Safeway. It is fully cooked so I don't think I will make anyone sick. Decided to save the ham for New Years, throw in some saurkraut and I have the good luck dish for the new year. I am supposed to be making a pork roast but the ham is easier (and fully cooked so that I don't make anyone sick - see the pattern?).
I made not a cookie. However, NavyGreen posted a link to bacon chocolate chip cookies with maple glaze. Mark wants some so I might have to break down this weekend and do it.
There is NOTHING on the schedule for next weekend. Now that I have said that, I will get stuck working a shift. We got new cell phones (because I lost mine somewhere). Nothing fancy, just the Blast. I looked at some others and this seems to be able to do the trick. I don't text so I don't need that (even though I have the ability)
I guess the head hunter doesn't want Mark. Not a word after he expressed interest.
I am up way too early. Not like I haven't figured out what is under the tree. Book, book, socks socks.
